SHM Controls presented yesterday at the Landmark Angels venture event at Greenwich, Connecticut, a well organized full day investor event. Many individual and family office investors were in attendance, listening to the presentations and networking around the presentation tables. We are excited and looking forward to the follow up meetings, some of which had already been scheduled.
SHM Controls will have an exhibit table and give a full presentation at the Real Estate Family Office Summit in Miami, FL on May 15, 2018. 450 attendees are expected and the presentation will be on: "HVAC Efficiency in Commercial/Multi-Res Properties: Practical Solutions to Improve Your Bottom Line"
We are expanding into the USA: SHM Controls installs several controller systems in a building complex in Syracuse, NY
SHM Controls completed a successful series of controller system installations in a building complex located in Syracuse, New York. The owners, operators and HVAC technicians benefit also from our new remote access facility using a secure browser, seeing all properties on a single map view and having a direct live interface connection to the actual controllers on site.
SHM Controls completed successfully a series of controller system installations in several individual buildings in Victoria, BC - all properties owned by the same owner.

SHM Controls completed its first controller installation in a public school at the city of West Vancouver. After an initial testing period, the school board intends to to add more installation in additional schools and eventually in all its schools, allowing their engineering team to have full remote control over the heating systems, and receiving alerts ahead of time when there are mechanical failures. School principals will also have remote access to control temperatures in their school.
SHM Controls will present at the Family Office Super Summit in Miami at the JW Marriott Marquis on December 5th - 6th, 2017. Come visit us at our booth.
The SHM team welcomes our new sales team members, Stephen and Bob and our new Tech Team member - Daniel. Welcome!
We have completed successfully a controller system installation in a 7-floor large concrete building complex, having multiple zones and multiple high-efficient boiler cascades. The SHM Controller system performs as expected, needing only a single antenna to provide sufficient wireless coverage to the many SHM wireless sensors placed around the property.
We have completed testing of our new DigiMesh 900MHz radio technology for our wireless sensors, and converted all our existing installation to this new wireless technology. This networking mesh technology is superior to the ZigBee 2.4GHz technology we have used to date with only a marginal cost difference. The wireless range of our sensors is now considerably longer, battery life time is longer (although obviously it’s too soon to have actual field results of battery life time, so results are based only on lab tests), wireless network security, reliability and responsiveness are also visibly improved with much less interference from walls and other near by wireless transmissions.

Quote from a post mentioning SHM Controls:
"I recently invested in a Canadian company started by an engineer who developed a control platform that is saving landlords 20% - 40% on their gas bills in apartment buildings that use boilers for supplying heat and hot water. At one presentation, an engineer from an established controls company (could have been Johnson, but I can't remember) stood up and said that what the company is doing is "impossible." But actual comparison of gas bills from year to year prove that it is indeed possible. Here's to hoping Johnson or another controls company acquires the Canadian company and makes me and the other investors rich:)"
It was our pleasure to present SHM Controls last week at the Bellingham Angel Investors luncheon. Great environment, venue and people.
SHM team welcomes our new sales and tech staff members, Manon and Ricardo. Welcome!
